Kim didn’t find art, it found her. After receiving a degree in Art, life had different plans. She began working in Human Resources and had a long successful career which included a degree in law.
Despite the divergence in her career, art still played an important part in her life. Her twin daughters will recall how she drew pictures on their lunch bags every day. It’s a memory they carry with them today. After her girls went off to college, she began dusting off her art supplies and enrolled in classes at the Art League in Alexandria. There she took classes in figure drawing, pastels, and graphite. She also took several trips to Europe which inspired many of her paintings.
Kim is a pastel artist. While she dabbles in other mediums, pastel is her passion. Retired now, Kim is looking forward to hours of enrichment at her easel.
